Set up your DNS records
Configure SPF and DKIM so StayPrivateMail notifications can be sent from your business email address.
What this changes
Without this setup, notifications use a StayPrivate email address. Configuring your domain allows notifications to use the sender’s business email address, helping customers recognise your company.
DNS setup is recommended but optional. It is separate from the mail-server routing required to send using #private.
Before you start
You need access to your company’s StayPrivate admin account and permission to edit the DNS records for your email domain. If someone else manages your DNS, give them the record details supplied in your admin account.
Configure SPF and DKIM
- Log in at admin.stayprivate.com.
- Open DNS Setup and select the domain you are configuring if prompted.
- Follow the SPF and DKIM instructions shown for that domain. Use the exact names and values supplied there.
- Save the changes with your DNS provider, then return to the admin portal and click Refresh.
- Check that both SPF and DKIM show successful status.
Use your account’s instructions when updating an existing record, so your other email services remain supported. Do not substitute generic example values.
Check the result
Send a test message to a personal email address you control. Check that the notification identifies the expected business sender and that its link opens the message in Keepd.
If verification is still pending, allow time for DNS changes to become visible and refresh again. Check the record names, values and domain against the admin instructions.
