Guide
Send using #private
Once your company has set up #private, send secure emails and share files from your normal business email account. Customers receive their own copies in Keepd and can reply when needed.
Overview
#private lets you use your usual email account to send through StayPrivateMail. Write your message, attach any files you want to share and add #private to the email body.
#private for a message on its own or to share files. Delivery depends on the recipient’s email account, as explained below.
If your company has not configured #private yet, start with the setup guide.
Basic send
Address the email to your customer, write your message and add #private to the body before sending. Include any files you want to share.
Hello,
Please find your policy documents attached.
Kind regards,
Your Company

What the customer receives
By default, messages and attachments reach TLS-capable business inboxes using TLS encryption. Personal recipients and businesses without TLS receive a notification linking to Keepd. Copies are also organised in Keepd.
Use #private-all instead of #private when every recipient should access the message and files through Keepd, including business recipients.
Their own copies in Keepd
The customer receives their own copies of the message and files in Keepd, automatically organised and easy to find again.
Replies when needed
Customers can read and keep what you send without replying. When a response is needed, they can reply securely and upload their own files.
Send a message without attachments
You do not need to attach a document to send a secure email. Use the same instruction for a private update or a question.
Hello,
We have received your information and are reviewing your request. We will send you an update once the review is complete.
No reply is needed, but you can respond here if you have a question.

Optional: organise with folders
When sharing documents, add a #folder instruction to place them into a specific folder in the customer’s Keepd.
Hello,
Please find your report attached.

Good to know
- Add
#privateto the email body after your company has configured routing. - You can send a message with or without attachments.
- You can combine
#privatewith#folderwhen sharing documents. - Pricing is based on active customers and storage capacity. Sending more documents to the same customer does not create additional customer counts. View pricing.
